As our school develops our new Primary identity, we will be reviewing and updating our curriculum to ensure that all the children at Peel Common have a broad and balanced curriculum.

"The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit." Ken Doherty - Irish professional snooker player and radio broadcaster

At Peel Common Junior School, we aim to give the children the tools and understanding required to have a positive impact on their own health and well-being through our Physical education programmes.  We encourage children to experience a wide variety of sports, to build on their physical life skills which will, in turn, support them with their life choices.

We support and teach children how to cope with success and failures in competitive, individual and team-based physical activity.  We aim to ensure that the children’s experience of PE is positive and motivating whilst supporting a healthy lifestyle, which is firmly embedded in our curriculum.

"Continuous effort — not strength or intelligence — is the key to unlocking our potential."  Liane Cardes - Premier Sports College
