Peel Common Junior School

RSE and Health Education

At Peel Common Junior School, we regard PSHE as an important, integral component of the

whole curriculum and we strongly promote our values through our day-to-day teaching.

Our personal, social and health education (PSHE) programme, including relationships and sex education (RSE), promotes children’s personal, social and economic development, as well as their health and wellbeing. It helps to give children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active and responsible citizens. Our children are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities and experiences across and beyond the curriculum, contributing fully to the life and ethos of our school and community; we provide our pupils with a comprehensive enrichment programme.

Please have a read of the documents below to find out more about the new statutory coverage within Relationships, Sex and Health Education and how this will be taught and recognised at Peel Common Juniors.

Please feel free to contact the school office if you have further questions or any concerns regarding the RSHE curriculum. As always, we welcome any feedback.
